From Strength to Strength05.05.2016
We are pleased to report that Taylor along with his brother Tarran have performed well at this years British Super Bike Championships which took place last weekend at Oulton Park.
Taylor and Tarran had mixed fortunes on the results table but their riding was in no doubt all weekend as they proved to be... as strong as any other rider in their respective classes. After qualifying in pole position, Taylor had an incredible ride from 17th on the opening laps to 2nd place at the flag in the 1000cc Superstock race smile emoticon
Unfortunately, Tarran suffered a broken engine in Sunday's Supersport sprint race but things looked much better in Monday's feature event when he rode from 16th on the grid to 2nd position only to fall when it suddenly started raining!
Tarran said: "Although I didn’t finish both races, for me my weekend was very positive. I qualified 9th on Sunday and was battling for a top 5 finish in the wet race until I had a mechanical issue which made me pull into the pits. On Monday the track dried out for my second race so I was confident I could make a good job even though I was starting from 16th position. I made my way all the way up to 2nd position and reduced the gap to the leader from 3 seconds to 1.4, setting the fastest lap along the way until an unexpected damp track made me crash out of the race." While Taylor made the following comment: "Although I missed out on the win it still felt amazing to come all the way from 17th to 2nd. I think it was the best ride of my career to date, I'm full of confidence and I can't see any reason why I can't fight for this championship all year long. I'm really looking forward to getting back out on track at Brands Hatch." A great effort from both boys! Well done !
